Non-selective contact killer. DE is the fossilized remains of single-celled creatures called diatoms. Each fossil has sharp edges that irritate and deter soft-bodied insects. Material abraids the exoskeleton of insects, causing dehydration and death. Effective on cockroaches, silverfish, ants, fleas, slugs and most other insects. Insects cannot become immune and will die within 48 hours of contact. Safe around children, pets and wildllife. Long lasting, odorless, non-staining. |
Can be used inside and out. Shake, puff or sprinkle thin coating to area of activity. Adult pets, bedding and kennel areas can be dusted for flea & tick control but young animals should not be exposed due to potential breathing complications. Rain or watering can cause powder to wash away. Reapply after rain. Some powder may be inhaled during application; avoid breathing as continuous exposure may lead to breathing difficulties. May cause discomfort if it comes in contact with eyes. Flush with water and see a physician if irritation persists. |
