Originally, ColorStar fertilizer was formulated for the professional landscapers for use on flowering plants. This product has found wide appeal for all annual bedding plants as well as a growing legion of loyal customers who use it on anything that blooms. ColorStar has four sources of nitrogen, each with a different time release characteristic to give your plant the nutrients it needs when it needs them.
The addition of Bone and Blood Meal along with essential micronutrients in this fertilizer blend increases bloom production, insures plant health, and maximizes plant growth for up to four months.

Top Dressing Plants in the Landscape
Top dress or incorporate at planting and every 3 months thereafter. Apply ColorStar at a rate of 5-8 lbs per hundred square feet of bed area, evenly as shown below. This can be applied at bed preparation or on established plants.
Top Dressing Individual Plants
Apply ColorStar uniformly over the entire surface of the growing media and water in thoroughly.

Transplant
Thoroughly mix 1-1/2 pound of ColorStar per one cubic foot of planting media. Transplant as usual. Water thoroughly. Repeat application in two to four months. Heavier feedings may be required when introducing ColorStar into the landscape in order to establish proper levels of microbiological activity. Less frequent applications may be correct for subsequent feedings. |
